Need help with boat insurance in South Carolina….?

I have been getting quotes for my new boat in Lake Wylie, SC, and they are running about $700 a year, but are only about $400 or so in Charlotte, North Carolina, right over the border… Any thoughts from EXPERIENCED boaters?

Any suggestions on who to speak with for a policy quote?

You are probably higher due to the potential for hurricane strikes. The further south one goes the more the $$$ one gets charged.

Contact National Marine Underwriters for a quote. Lower than most out there. Link is below for you and they offer online quotes.

Try AAA. Their rates are reasonable, they don’t require a survey, and their customer service has been extremely good to us (We have already had to file a claim).
